After Care
Daily Instructions
Day 1-3:
After the procedure, wipe the brows with sterile wipes, wipe every 15 minutes for one hour. This is only done on day one.
The goal is to get rid of the excess lymph to help speed up the healing process. Keep the brow area dry for three days.
Day 4-10:
Gently wash brows with warm water and cleanser, every morning and night, then apply a rice sized dab of cream.
Do not put anything (make up, lotions, etc.) other than aftercare cream on the brows for 10 days, or until fully healed. You can wear make up as usual, just avoid the brow area.
Enjoy your shower, but keep it to a minimum. Once the scabs fall off, stop applying the cream.
Healing Tips:
- Do not use a wash cloth or anything abrasive.
- Do not take or scratch your tattoo.
- Avoid hot tubs, steam rooms, pools, lakes, rivers and hot yoga doing healing process.
- Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for two weeks.
- Avoid brown make up, brow or lash tint and any other facial treatment for 10 days.
- Avoid sweaty exercise for one week.
Keep Your Brows Looking Fantastic:
- Wear daily sunscreen to prevent the sun from prematurely fading the pigment in the skin.
- If a product lightens, brightens, or titans avoid using it on or around your brows indefinitely.
- We recommend yearly touchups to maintain the full color and shape.
- After applying your make up or foundation, take a damp Q-tip and clean off your brows, this allows the pigment to show through without looking muddled by make up.
Frequently Asked Questions
Your microbladed brows will last for as long as you maintain them. Usually about 12-18 months before a touch up is required.
The procedure takes roughly about 2 hours, depending on how you want your brows to be completed Please allow a solid 2 and a half hour window for your appointment. We likely won’t need that much time, but Daly likes to take all the time a client might need.
Touch-ups are recommended every 4-6 weeks, to keep the color fresh and the strokes crisp. Some people can go longer before getting a touch-up, so it all depends on you.
Some people say that they do not feel anything and all, and some people say there is some discomfort associated with the procedure. A topical anesthetic is used to numb the area, and then reapplied as needed.
Follow the aftercare instructions given to you. You will also receive an aftercare kit after the treatment is complete.
No. There’s no downtime associated with the treatment. Redness and swelling will dissipate within an hour after. Your brows will appear darker initially, but not so dark that you will be prevented from your activities of daily living.
Healing time varies from person to person. Usually, it takes about a week to ten days for the epithelial crust to form and slough off (just like a tattoo). Your skin will be considered healed after that happens. Then, the pigment takes some time to settle into the skin. A good month should pass before we consider the process complete.
Microblading is a two step treatment, consisting of an initial procedure and then a perfecting touch-up after 4 to 6 weeks. After we take your before photo, we shape your eyebrows and decide on the color. Shortly after that, a topical anesthetic will be administered to ensure comfort. Once you’re numb, the procedure begins and Daly will implant the pigment into your epidermis. During healing, it’s normal to experience some pigment loss; this is why we have the touch up in place. The process is considered to be complete 4 weeks after the first touch up.
The number one thing Daly cannot stress enough is to please follow carefully your aftercare instructions! Also, we do not recommend go touch your brows, as it interrupts the healing process and you will be left with a less than desirable result once your brows have healed. You are also advised to keep the skin clean and dry—that means no swimming, sweating or otherwise getting the area wet; no tanning or prolonged sun exposure; no picking or peeling the tattoo. You can still wash your hair and face and once they’re healed up, you treat them as your own.
All the colors are NONE iron-oxide based and have been FDA approved. A wide range of colors are available so that Daly can help you choose what works best for your facial and hair color.
There are several things we can do, please don’t forget this a two step process. Touch ups, known at our studio as “perfection session” is the most important step to achieve the look that you’d like to achieve. Daly and her team of artists, will work with you until our work is up to your standards, nonetheless, if you’d like to repeat the process, we are very well known for our corrective work services. However there will be no refunds on services already provided as materials were already used, and time set aside for our technicians.
