Nano & Ombre Brows

Master Artist

Nano and Ombré brows  is the ultimate and exclusive technique here at Arch Angels NYC.

The Nano Brow is the simulation of hair strokes for a very natural look. This procedure actually gets its name from the needle used, a Nano Needle. This is a single Micro-needle connected to a conventional needle device. This device moves the needle 120 times in one second. (Speed of the needle is dictated by the artist according the device being used. At our studio, we use only the highest quality devices; Linelle Supreme by Amiea)  As the needle moves up into the cartridge, it grabs the pigment, and as it move down it implants the pigment into the Dermis, the second layer of the skin.

The Permanent Makeup Artist operating the device has complete control of the depth of the needle. The Needle sits approximately 0.89 mm outside of the cartridge which allows for the Artist to work very superficial. Precise pressure is applied to create the perfect crisp hair strokes resulting in for very natural results.

This procedure is less invasive than Microblading, therefore no anesthetic or pre-numbing is needed. The healed hair strokes are much more clean and crisp and actually look like hair.

Nano & ombre is the combination of hair strokes for a very natural look with that soft, misty, powder filled brow similar to the look of makeup.

Difference between Nano and Microblading

Generally speaking, both microblading and nano needling will give a similar end result. That being said, there are a few differences that you’ll want to consider. You’ll get a more effective result from nano needling as the procedure involves less trauma to the skin. With microblading, the pins used to create the blade shape for microblading are more rigid than the flexible and fine ones used for nano needling. Nano needling also comes with the benefits of offering a more natural and crisp result, with less risks of the pigment being implanted too deep. Basically, see nano needling as microblading but with more precision and accuracy.

Price wise, microblading is the least expensive option and usually less than nano needle brows. However, while the results of your microblading procedure can be expected to last between 12 to 18 months, the results of a nano needling can last up far longer – up to three years with touch-up sessions.

It’s important for you to do your own research to figure out which option is best for you in terms of what you’re looking for.
